Growing up, one of my favorite cookies to get at the local grocery store was date-filled. Just a simple sugar cookie, with some date jelly in the center. So easy, so basic, and yet, so delicious.
While Sweet-Sand Cookies do not have any jelly in them, they certainly fall in the category of simple, yet completely satisfying. They look like sand, and taste like anything but — before long, I found myself grabbing two, if not three, at a time.
Easy, delicious, and leaves you wanting more. What else can you ask of a cookie?!
